We are thrilled to acknowledge the recent funding of $1.3m from the Federal Government and $1.5m from the State Government for the redevelopment of the Club’s external facilities.   The funds/money will go towards building international standard change rooms as well as first aid and umpire areas, storage rooms and administration.  Covered seating and an amenity block will also be part of the expansion/extensions.

This joint funding windfall of $2.8m will put Harrup Park firmly in line to host state, national and international games and competitions.  It will also help attract national teams to Mackay for practice sessions, trial games and ‘friendlies’.  That’s great news for sports fans – and it’s great for the Mackay region as major sporting events mean an injection of visitors into the area.
