Harrup Park Country Club is currently undergoing a $4.3 million redevelopment to provide the Mackay community and visitors with an even better sporting, dining, entertainment and leisure facility.
As a result of this expansion, the Club will be offering a wider choice of dining experiences with the addition of a new restaurant; more variety of entertainment options; and improved sporting, gaming and child-minding facilities. This stage is expected be completed in October 2009.
This redevelopment is in addition to the $5.4 million invested in upgrades since 2007 and the more than $550,000 donated to charities and community organisations.

Funding Windfall
Harrup Park is pleased to announce recent funding of $1.3m from the Federal Government and $1.5m from the State Government for the redevelopment of the Club’s external facilities. Club Chairman, Mr Barry Jansen, said the funding would go towards building international standard change rooms as well as first aid and umpire areas, storage rooms and administration. Covered seating and an amenity block will also be part of the redevelopment.
The windfall is just another element in Harrup Park realising its 20-year plan – part of which is hosting state, national and international games and competitions.
